Ambassador Ha Hoang Hai emphasised the significance and major directions of the 14th National Party Congress, a landmark event heralding a new chapter in the country’s development.
Deputy PM Bui Thanh Son highlighted the strong progress made in the Vietnam – China comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership, marked by enhanced political trust, more substantive security and defence cooperation, robust growth in economic, trade and investment ties, and increasingly dynamic people-to-people exchanges.
Chargé d’Affaires Phan Minh Chien stressed that the 14th Party National Congress is a historic political event marking a major turning point as Vietnam enters a new era of national development.
Renato Darsie, Chairman of the Italy – Vietnam Friendship Sub-Association in the Veneto region, expressed confidence that the 14th Congress will build on the resolution of the 13th Congress while clearly outlining approaches and solutions to realise the goals set, taking into account rapid and profound global changes during the interval between the two congresses.
The Chinese scholar said that as Vietnam moves from a “new era” in its national history into a “new era” of the times, the Party Central Committee, under the leadership of General Secretary To Lam, must outline a clear development roadmap to realise the two centenary goals and steadily advance national modernisation.
The congress carries strategic significance for Vietnam’s next development period, while also playing a crucial role in personnel affairs and in ensuring continuity in the governing apparatus, thereby reinforcing the Party’s ideological foundation and legitimacy.
President Luong Cuong asked the newly-appointed ambassadors and heads of representative missions to firmly adhere to the Party’s and State’s foreign policy, closely follow the goals, requirements and tasks of national development, and effectively implement the foreign-affairs priorities set out in the Resolution of the 14th National Party Congress.
