Vientiane (VNA) – Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong's article titled “Several theoretical and practical issues on socialism and the path towardssocialism in Vietnam” constitutes an epochalstrategic direction on socialism and Vietnam’s path towards socialism, a Lao official has said.

Khamvisanh Keosouvanh, Assistant to the Chairman of the LaoPeople’s Revolutionary Party (LPRP) Central Committee’s Commission forPropaganda and Training, made the remarks in an article sent to the Vietnam NewsAgency (VNA)’s correspondents.

Khamvisanh said the Vietnamese Party leader’s articlematches the real development of Vietnam and the world.

He explained that the article was published followingthe 13th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV), and before the elections ofdeputies to the 15th National Assembly and all-level People’sCouncils for the 2021-2026 tenure.

Therefore, according to the official, it has helped Vietnamese leaders preparepersonnel to implement the Resolution adopted at the 13th National PartyCongress with new opportunities and challenges.  

Trong’s affirmation that socialismis the goal and ideal of the CPV and Vietnamese people,and that advancing towards socialism is an objective demand of and theinevitable path of the Vietnamese revolution demonstrates the CPV's absolute confidenceand loyalty to Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh Thought in the causeof national construction and development towards socialism.

The view on the development of the socialist-orientedmarket economy is a very basic and creative theoretical breakthrough of theCPV, Khamvisanh said.

The article set out an epochal strategic direction on socialismand Vietnam’s path towards socialism, he continued, adding that the Vietnamese Partychief has creatively applied Marxism-Leninism in Vietnam’s real situation. The articleis also a new theoretical review of the CPV, helping to diversify andenrich theoretical treasures of socialism in the world.

According to Khamvisanh, the LPRP would learn from theCPV’s leadership experience in the cause of national construction and development towardssocialism to realise the resolution adopted at the 11th National Congress ofthe LPRP./.
