Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong has expressed his hope that scholars and scientists will continue to undertake studies of Vietnam and share experiences with the country in state management and leadership.

He made the remarks in Hanoi on November 27 at a reception for visiting scholars from 28 countries and territories, who are attending an international conference on Vietnamese studies.

Presentations at the conference illustrate the special attention and precious support that the scientists offer, as well as public opinions of Vietnam, he noted.

Trong thanked the delegates for their contributions to Vietnam’s development path, which will aid the international community’s understanding of the country’s renewal process, history, culture, land and people.

On this path, Vietnam highly values the scientists’ ideas, evaluations and positive contribution to the country’s policy making and implementation, he affirmed.

Delegates said that the conference is valuable not only to Vietnam but also to those who study the country.

They affirmed that Vietnam’s experience in development will become a source of reference for developing countries and international researchers.

They said they believe that under the leadership of the Party, the Vietnamese people will continue to reap achievements during its international integration and sustainable development.-VNA
