Petrovietnam supports Hung Yen with 4 billion VND for typhoon aftermath settlement

A delegation from Petrovietnam led by chairman Le Manh Hung visited Hung Yen province on September 15 to provide support after Typhoon Yagi.

Hanoi (VNA) – A delegation from Petrovietnam led by chairman Le Manh Hung visited Hung Yen province on September 15 to provide support after Typhoon Yagi.

The group included Justice Minister Nguyen Hai Ninh and Deputy Health Minister Tran Van Thuan.

Petrovietnam provided 4 billion VND (163,000 USD) to help local authorities and residents in Van Giang, Khoai Chau, and Kim Dong districts to recover from the disaster.

Chairman expressed sympathies to locals for the significant losses caused by the storm and reaffirmed the oil sector’s commitment to assisting affected communities.

In response to calls from the Party, State, and Vietnam Fatherland Front, Petrovietnam has raised over 40 billion VND to support storm-hit regions. The company aims to aid in recovery efforts and help restore livelihoods.

Tran Quoc Toan, Vice Secretary of Hung Yen Provincial Party Committee, expressed deep gratitude for Petrovietnam's timely assistance, which has been crucial in helping the province stabilise and rebuild after the storm./.
