Hanoi (VNA) - Vietnamese nurses joining together to fight the COVID-19 pandemic will be highlighted in a photo contest launched by the Vietnam Nurses Association on May 12.
Held in response to International Nurses Day on May 12 and the Association’s upcoming 30th anniversary, the contest aims to promote images of nurses and honour their sacrifice during the pandemic, said Pham Duc Muc, President of the Association.
Over recent months, thousands of nurses, technicians, and doctors have left their families and stayed on the frontlines fighting the disease, he said, adding that they have worked around the clock at disease clusters and been dedicated to caring for patients.
Each entrant can send three photos to organisers at hoidieuduong@gmail.com until June 30, and entries will be posted on the Association’s fanpage from July 1 to 20.
There will be two first prizes, two second prizes, three third prizes, and ten consolation prizes worth a total of 30 million VND (1,280 USD).
A ceremony announcing the winners is to take place within celebrations of the Association’s 30th anniversary./.
