Fragrant, juicy and sweet pineapples are also one of the products that captivate tourists who visit the land of Dong Giao, Tam Diep, Ninh Binh province. At present, pineapple accounts for 60% of the fruit tree cultivation area in Tam Diep with approximately 2,000 farmer households in the area participating in pineapple cultivation. On an area of 5,500 hectares, Dong Giao farm has a red basalt soil, gently sloping, easy to drain terrain and an average temperature of 20 - 27 degrees Celsius, suitable for pineapple growth and high quality at harvest time. In addition to visiting the pineapple farm to enjoy the delicious taste of Dong Giao pineapple, tourists also have the opportunity to take interesting souvenir photos of vast pineapple hills giving off fragrant aroma of ripe pineapple. The best time to visit is when the farm is in the pineapple harvest season, mid-April to mid-July.
