Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnam appreciated Japanese PrimeMinister Abe Shinzo’s importantcontributions to the development of Vietnam-Japan relations for the sake of thetwo countries’ people and for peace, prosperity, cooperation and development inthe region and the world, said the Foreign Ministry’s spokeswoman Le Thi ThuHang.

Hang made the statementwhile answering reporters’ queries about PM Abe Shinzo’s declaration to resignon August 28.

PM AbeShinzo has been trusted bythe Japanese people for years, she said, adding that he is a leader who hasmade many contributions to the development of Japan and promotion ofcooperation in different fields in the region and the world.

“Vietnam wishes PM AbeShinzo good health andhappiness and continuing to make important contributions to the development ofJapan as well as the cooperation and friendship between Vietnam and Japan,” thespokeswoman said./.
