Copenhagen, (VNA) - Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and the Vietnamese delegation attended a banquet hosted by the Queen of Denmark for heads of delegations to the Green Growth and the Global Goals (P4G) Summit, and a lunch hosted by the Prince and Princess of Denmark as well as the closing ceremony of the summit on October 20.
The P4G was formed following the initiative of the Danish Government with the aim to creating favourable conditions for and promoting public-private partnership (PPP) as well as the process of implementing the sustainable development goals to 2030 through strengthening green growth.
So far, the forum has drawn nine members – Denmark, Chile, Mexico, Vietnam, the Republic of Korea, the Netherlands, Ethiopia, Kenya and Columbia, as well as the C40 cities network of 91 countries and many international organizations such as the Global Green Growth Institute, the World Resource Institute and the World Economic Forum, and leaders of many businesses.
At the opening session of P4G Summit, PM Phuc delivered a speech lauding Denmark's initiatives in promoting the formation of the P4G forum, while highlighting that the forum will be a venue for policy makers and business community to discuss promising PPP projects in green growth and financial mechanism.
On the sidelines of the summit, PM Phuc had meetings with RoK President Moon Jae-in, Ethiopian President Mulatu Teshome and Dutch PM Mark Rutte.
The foreign leaders spoke highly of Vietnam's achievements in realising Millennium Development Goals and sustainable green economic growth.
The Vietnamese PM discussed with leaders of other countries the need of sharing experience, cooperating and coordinating with each other within bilateral and multilateral frameworks to realise the Millennium Development Goals and the Agenda 2030 on sustainable development through the global green growth strategy.-VNA
