While receiving Kim Dong-soo, President of RoK's Economic DevelopmentCooperation Fund (EDCF) and CEO of the Export-Import Bank of Korea(Korea Eximbank), PM Dung said that both bodies of the RoK are playingan important role in boosting cooperation between the two countries.
The PM called on the RoK to early consider providing loans for thedevelopment of infrastructure in Vietnam, including highway routes fromHanoi to Hai Phong province and to Ho Chi Minh City; a railway systemfrom Ho Chi Minh City to Khanh Hoa province and to Can Tho province;and a road segment in Mekong Delta Kien Giang province.
Kim Dong-soo pledged to encourage RoK entrepreneurs to actively investin projects in Vietnam in a bid to deepen bilateral cooperation.
He also informed the PM of his bank’s plan to sign with the Bank forInvestment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV) an agreement to provide a50-million-USD loan for the import of RoK equipment.
As EDCF President, Kim Dong-soo pledged the highest financial support to Vietnam within the fund’s capacity./.
