PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc pays tribute to Hung Kings

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, Party and State leaders and people across the country offered incense to the national founders, Hung Kings, at the Hung Kings Temple Relic Site in Phu Tho province.

The incense offering ceremony is held on the 10th day of the third lunar month, which falls on April 25 this year (Source: VNA)

Ruling the country through 18 generations (2879-258BC), the Hung Kings taught locals how to grow wet rice. They chose Nghia Linh Mountain, the highest in the region, to perform rituals devoted to rice and sun deities to pray for lush crops.
