Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung received the out-going Iranian Ambassador Seyed Javad Ghavam Shahidi in Hanoi on Feb. 15.
PM Dung praised the Iranian Ambassador’s contributions during his tenure in Vietnam .
He said he hopes that the ambassador will remain a friend of Vietnam ’s regardless of his future position, as this will help to strengthen relations between Vietnam and Iran .
The PM suggested establishing a joint working group to deal with any future difficulties that may appear in bilateral cooperation, especially in trade and investment.
The ambassador responded by saying he was impressed at the major achievements Vietnam has recorded in national construction and socio-economic development.
He thanked the Vietnamese Government and ministries for their support during his term in the country
The ambassador also pledged that he will continue to bolster relations between the two countries in the future./.
