HCM City (VNA) – The Vietnamese and Japanese governments are actively discussing an action plan to better implement the bilateral extensive strategic partnership, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc told Kawai Katsuyuki, Special Advisor to Prime Minister Shinzo Abe during a reception in Hanoi on July 18.
PM Phuc expressed his hope that he would meet PM Abe again at the APEC Summit 2017 in Vietnam.
He informed the special advisor that Vietnam will offer all possible support for Japan to soon launch key investment projects in transport and energy in Vietnam, delivering on commitments between the two PMs.
Katsuyuki conveyed Abe’s message to the host, saying that Japan highly values Vietnam’s strategic position and wishes to further enhance bilateral extensive strategic partnership.
He said PM Abe was delighted to meet the Vietnamese PM at the recent G20 Summit and looks forward to meeting him at APEC Summit 2017 slated for later this year in the central city of Da Nang.
The guest affirmed that Japan will support and accelerate the progress of key transport and energy projects in Vietnam.-VNA
