National Assembly (NA) Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan has lauded the efforts of the border guard force of An Giang in managing the national border and ensuring political security as well as social order and safety in border areas over the years.

An Giang (VNA) – National Assembly (NA)Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan has lauded the efforts of the border guard forceof An Giang in managing the national border and ensuring political security aswell as social order and safety in border areas over the years.

Visiting the An Giang Border Guard High Command on November30 during her visit to the Mekong Delta province, the top legislator asked theforce to continue strictly managing the border, while coordinating withrelevant forces to prevent border and trans-border criminals.

As An Giang has diverse terrains, the force should work hardto prevent smuggling and illegal cross-border goods transportation, whilestrictly handle violations of regulations in border protection and management,she said.

She also reminded the force to promote people-to-peoplediplomacy in the border area, building strong solidarity, friendship andcooperation with localities and border guard force of Cambodia.

Earlier the same day, the NA leader visited a 600-hectarehigh-tech tra fish farm developed by Nam Viet Group in Binh Phu commune of ChauPhu district, the first of its kind in Vietnam.

At a working session with leaders of An Giang and Chau Phudistrict and Nam Viet Group, NA Chairwoman Ngan said that the farm is a goodmodel to optimize the province’s advantages. She asked the locality to supportthe group, thus contributing to modernizing the local agricultural sector,raising the province’s gross regional domestic product, and improving thefarming practice in the locality.

She expressed her hope that Nam Viet group will continue toexpand the project while paying attention to environmental protection. She alsotook note of the group’s proposals on land policies for businesses for expandproduction scale, including raising the land ownership limit to over 30hectares per individual.

The National Assembly (NA) Standing Committee convened its 42nd session in Hanoi on February 5, focusing on reviewing and providing feedback on draft laws and resolutions set for immediate issuance to facilitate the restructuring and streamlining of the government apparatus.

PM orders focus on key tasks to ensure fulfillment of socio-economic development goals

The Government leader asked for urgent, serious, synchronous and effective implementation of projects, tasks, and solutions outlined in resolutions and conclusions of the Party Central Committee, the National Assembly, and the Government, especially a supplementary plan for socio-economic development in 2025, aiming for a growth rate of at least 8%.
