- The 42nd session of the National Assembly (NA) Standing Committee is set to take place over two and a half days, beginning on February 5, at the NA building in Hanoi, according to the NA Office.

- As Vietnam and China are celebrating 75 years of diplomatic relations and mark the Year of China - Vietnam Humanistic Exchange 2025, Nanning, the capital of China’s Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, is strengthening cooperation with Vietnamese provinces and cities across multiple sectors.

In an interview with the Vietnam News Agency (VNA)'s correspondent in China, Mayor of Nanning Hou Gang highlighted the city’s pivotal role in fostering regional exchanges, noting that Nanning has the most sister-city partnerships with Vietnam's counterparts, including the cities of Hai Phong, Bac Ninh, and Bac Giang. - Flight volumes at major airports such as Noi Bai and Tan Son Nhat are expected to continue rising as post-Tet travel demand remains strong, according to the Vietnam Air Traffic Management Corporation (VATM).

- Nearly 1 million workers of more than 12,600 businesses with trade trade unions in Ho Chi Minh City have returned to work following the nine-day Lunar New Year (Tet) holiday, reaching 85.33% of their total workforce, according to the municipal Labour Federation.

Among the firms, more than 150 companies located in the city's export processing zones, industrial parks, and high-tech zones have welcomed back over 45,700 workers. Read full story

- The Hung Kings Commemoration Day and a cultural and tourism week will take place at the Hung Kings Temple historical relic site and localities of the northern province of Phu Tho from March 29 to April 7, or from the 1st to the 10th day of the third lunar month, according to the provincial People’s Committee.

The day will feature a wide array of folk activities, including a procession that offers incense and flowers, to commemorate the legendary ancestors of the nation, Father Lac Long Quan and Mother Au Co. Read full story

- The “Khai ha - Cau an” Festival, a traditional festival to pray for peace in Ho Chi Minh City, and another dedicated to Au Co – the legendary mother of Vietnam – in the northern province of Phu Tho opened on February 4, the seventh day of the first lunar month.

Ship 016–Quang Trung of Brigade 162 under Naval Region 4 departed Sydney Harbour on the morning of March 25 for home after successfully completing activities within the framework of the Exercise Kakadu Fleet Review 2026 marking the 125th anniversary of the Royal Australian Navy and the multilateral naval exercise Kakadu 2026.
