CPV – a source of inspiration for world’s revolution: Communist Party of Uruguay

The Communist Party of Uruguay (CPU) affirmed that the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV)'s heroism and determination have inspired revolutionists across the globe.

Hanoi (VNA) – The Communist Party of Uruguay (CPU) extended congratulations to the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) on its 95th founding anniversary, affirming the latter’s heroism and determination have inspired revolutionists across the globe.

On its Instagram post on February 3, the CPU stated that the two parties share a history of solidarity and friendship that they are aiming to carry into the future, underscoring that it has valued the CPV’s efforts for its people's happiness while reaffirming its commitment to the joint the struggle for peace, self-determination, and a world free from injustice.

The same day, the CPU Central Committee sent a congratulatory message to Party General Secretary To Lam, highlighting the CPV's decisive contributions to Vietnam's independence and sovereignty, particularly during the struggle for national liberation and reunification.

It also praised President Ho Chi Minh, General Vo Nguyen Giap, and hero Nguyen Van Troi, along with numerous other revolutionary soldiers, as exemplars for patriots and revolutionaries worldwide. Besides, the Uruguayan Party hailed the CPV’s efforts in protecting national independence and building socialism, expressing confidence that Vietnam will successfully deliver on its goal of becoming a developing country with modern industry and upper-middle income by 2030 and a developed, high-income nation by 2045.

In another congratulatory message sent to Vietnamese Ambassador to Argentina and Uruguay Ngo Minh Nguyet, the CPU affirmed the revolutionary solidarity with the CPV in the pursuit of a multipolar and humane world as well as socialist objectives, while expressing profound respect for President Ho Chi Minh – the CPV founder.

On this occasion, the Vietnamese Party organisation in Cuba paid a floral tribute to President Ho Chi Minh at his statue in Havana.

Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee Bui Xuan Phong stressed that the establishment of the CPV on February 2, 1930 marked an historic turning point for not only the struggle of the Vietnamese working class and peasantry but also the nation's revolutionary movement and the revolutionary process across Southeast Asia.

Over the past 95 years, the CPV has upheld its leadership role in the country’s revolutionary process, guiding the Vietnamese people to victory, complete unification, and now into a new era – that of the nation’s rise, he added./.
