Hanoi (VNA) – When asked who will be selected to participate in Miss Grand International 2021, a representative from the unit charged with bringing Vietnamese beauty to the international competition later this year said an interesting surprise will come.

In the meantime, the unit has revealed the list of the five nominees for the contest, namely Miss Vietnam 2016 Do My Linh, Miss Vietnam 2018 Tran Tieu Vy, Miss World Vietnam 2019 Luong Thuy Linh, along with Compassionate Beauties Nguyen Thuc Thuy Tien and Huynh Nguyen Mai Phuong.

Ever since earning the crown, Linh has been the competitor who has always maintained her position in the hearts of fans.

Winning the Compassionate Beauty title at Miss World 2017, she now impresses the audience with her alluring beauty and charitable activities. It seems that she has never lost her charm.

Meanwhile, Miss Vietnam 2018 Tran Tieu Vy has become more and more spectacular with her enviable figure, astonishing complexion and glamorous style. Tieu Vy has been named the most beautiful among all of the former Miss Vietnam contestants. It could be said that Tieu Vy possesses all of the criteria that the organisers of Miss Grand International are setting.

A native of the central province of Quang Nam, Tieu Vy overcame 42 other finalists to take the crown in the finale held in Ho Chi Minh City in September.

Luong Thuy Linh, Miss World Vietnam 2019, has received a lot of support from Vietnamese Internet users. Thuy Linh, born in 2000, has an ideal height of 1.77 metres, a charismatic face, shows good knowledge on several topics, and is a fluent English speaker.

Thuy Linh is also the Vietnamese representative with the highest-ever finishing position in the Miss World competition, reaching the Top 12 in 2019.

In May this year, the organisers of Miss World released a teaser video for this year’s contest showing the meaningful journeys of the many beautiful contestants from around the world over the years. In the clip, the organisers introduce the viewer to the most memorable moments of the competition from the past 69 years. It is worth mentioning that in the 4-minute clip, Vietnamese fans can easily recognise two famous Vietnamese faces, Miss Vietnam 2016 Do My Linh and Miss World Vietnam 2019 Luong Thuy Linh. As the clip is a recap of all the successful moments in the competition recorded at arenas around the globe, the presence of two Vietnamese representatives shows us that the world truly recognises the beauty of Vietnamese women.

The fourth nominee is Compassionate Beauty of Miss Vietnam 2018 Nguyen Thuc Thuy Tien, who was chosen to compete in Miss International 2019.

Thuy Tien has a charming beauty. Together with her catwalk skills, she can also impress people by showing off her skilful dance moves.

The last name on the list is Huynh Nguyen Mai Phuong - Compassionate Beauty of Miss Vietnam 2020. She also reached the Top 5 of the competition that year.

Mai Phuong will be another strong candidate as she has highly-polished English communication skills, is remarkably talented, and stands at an impressive 1.68 metres tall.

The five women on this list of nominees are five unique flowers, all with different colours. The one chosen to wear the sash and represent Vietnam at Miss Grand International 2021 will soon be revealed.

Miss Grand International (MGI) is now one of the world’s six biggest beauty pageants.

The second runner-up of Miss Vietnam 2020 Nguyen Le Ngoc Thao finished in the Top 20 of Miss Grand International 2020./.
