Vietnam loses in junior pentaque event

Hanoi (VNA) - Vietnam's youth team met their end in the quarter-finals of the triples event at the 15th Junior World Pentaque Championship at Bangkok Thonburi University, Thailand on November 3.

Pentaque, a boules game in which metal balls are thrown or rolled towards targets on a bowling court.

While Vietnam lost to Madagascar, Laos was busy beating Cambodia 13-12; Thailand Team 1 crushed Tunisia 13-4; and France dominated Thailand Team 2 13-1.

According to a draw, Laos will face Madagascar and France will play Thailand 1 in the semi-finals.

Earlier, Ratianarison Judichael of Madagascar won gold in the men's individual category; silver and bronze went to Kurbanok Temur of Germany and Pasom Thitipong of Thailand, respectively.

The event involved 34 countries and territories from around the world.-VNA
