President Tran Dai Quang concludes India, Bangladesh visits

President Tran Dai Quang, his spouse and a high-ranking delegation arrived in Hanoi on March 6 night, successfully wrapping up their State visits to India and Bangladesh from March 2-6.

Hanoi (VNA) – President Tran DaiQuang, his spouse and a high-ranking delegation arrived in Hanoi on March 6night, successfully wrapping up their State visits to India and Bangladesh fromMarch 2-6.

During his stay in India from March 2-4,President Quang held talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and met with India’s President Ram Nath Kovind.

He also had meetings withSpeaker of the Lower House of India's Parliament Sumitra Mahajan, Minister of External Affairs SushmaSwaraj, and leaders of political parties and the Vietnam-India FriendshipAssociation.

The President attended theVietnam-India Business Forum and cut the ribbon to launch the “Vietnamese culturaldays in India” programme.

He paid floral tribute toIndia's national hero Mahatma Gandhi at the Raj Ghat Memorial andvisited the eastern Indianstate of Bihar.

President Quang also talkedwith nearly 300 Indian politicians, professors, researchers, scholars andstudents at the Nehru Memorial Museum and Library in New Delhi.

Meanwhile, President Quang’svisit to Bangladesh from March 4-6 took place at a time when the two countrieswere celebrating the 45th anniversary of diplomatic ties.

While in Bangladesh, he heldtalks with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and met with Bangladesh’s PresidentAbdul Hamid.

He also had meetings withthe Speaker of the Parliament of Bangladesh and the Chairman of the Bangladesh Workers' Party, and attended the openingceremony of the “Vietnamese cultural days in Bangladesh” programme.-VNA

Vietnamese Party General Secretary, State President meets with top Chinese legislator

Top Vietnamese, Chinese leaders witness signing of numerous cooperation documents

The documents include an MoU on cooperation within the framework of the Global Security Initiative between the Governments of Vietnam and China, an MoU on cooperation between Hanoi and Beijing for the 2026-2030 period, and a protocol on the establishment, management, and operation of a ministerial-level hotline between the two countries' Ministries of Public Security.

The Vietnamese National Assembly and the Italian Parliament should increase delegation exchanges and contacts at all levels, especially the high level; coordinate to effectively implement the outcomes of visits and signed cooperation agreements; and promote the elevation of Vietnam–Italy relations to a new level.

NA Chairman meets with Italian President

Vietnam and Italy should promote the role of their legislative bodies and enhance oversight of the implementation of bilateral and multilateral cooperation agreements. In particular, they should expand cooperation into emerging fields where Italy has strengths and Vietnam has demand, such as science and technology, artificial intelligence (AI), innovation, and high-quality human resource training.

Regarding future cooperation orientations, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man suggested that the two parties enhance mutual understanding and exchanges, deepen relations in a substantive manner, and promote their roles in strengthening multifaceted cooperation between the two countries. He called for increased people-to-people exchanges and cooperation in culture, arts, education and training, tourism, and locality-to-locality links.
