US President Donald Trump has announced his upcoming meeting with the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea leader Kim Jong-un will take place in Hanoi on February 27 and 28.


 The US president wrote on his Twitter page that his representatives had just left the DPRK after a very productive meeting and an agreed upon time and date for the second summit with Kim Jong-un.

Earlier on February 6, Vietnam welcomed the meeting and strongly supports dialogues to maintain peace, security and stability on the Korean Peninsula.     

The spokesperson of the Vietnamese Foreign Ministry Le Thi Thu Hang said “Vietnam stands ready to actively contribute to and cooperate with relevant sides to ensure the success for the second US-DPRK summit, thus helping achieve the above-mentioned goal,”.-VNA
