In his letter to teachers and students on the occasion of the new school year of 2016-2017, the President said the sector needs to focus on developing human resources, especially high-quality personnel, tightening disciplines and paying attention to teaching morality, soft skills, citizen’s conscience and responsibility.
The sector is asked to invest more in education and training in remote and border areas and islands, as well as for those who made contributions to the country’s revolutionary cause.
It must improve the quality of comprehensive education to meet socio-economic development requirements and better serve the country’s industrialisation, modernisation and international integration, he said.
President Quang also wished students nationwide to make tireless efforts to attain great achievements in study and scientific research towards a better life and a more prosperous country.-VNA
