The programme, which will be carried out across 287 disadvantageddistricts, aims to narrow development gaps between regions, contributingto socio-economic development.
Its specific targetsare to improve local income and ensure national defence and security inthe districts while increasing sales of retail goods and services by10-12 percent.
The project enables locals to developbusinesses, exchange experience and forge relations with domestic andforeign partners.
It encourages residents to promotestrong products and register for geographical indication protection andappellation of origin, all the while promoting sales via domesticdistribution systems and seeking stable export outlets in foreignmarkets.
The programme will build a trade servicessystem and expand goods distribution sites in mountainous and sea andisland regions.
Furthermore, it will buildinfrastructure for local markets from the Government budget whileencouraging localities to call for investment in the field.-VNA
