The northeastern province of Quang Ninh will coordinate with a joint venture between Thailand’s Amata Corporation and the Tuan Chau Group to build a 2 billion USD complex of urban areas and high-tech parks.
The deal is part of a strategic cooperation agreement signed on October 19.
Under the agreement, stakeholders will team up to complete all necessary formalities for the early construction of the complex covering a total area of 16,000 hectares in Quang Yen town and Uong Bi and Ha Long cities.
The complex is expected to serve as dynamic and effective economic zones as well as new urban areas attractive to investors, with the view to promoting environmentally sustainable growth in harmony with socio-economic development goals.
Amata and its subsidiaries specialise in real estate, industrial zone and the distribution, production and treatment of water in their base and other countries around the world.-VNA
