Hanoi (VNA) - The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate on October 10 at 22,721 VND/USD, down 2 VND from the previous day (October 9).
With the current trading band of +/- 3 percent, the ceiling rate applied to commercial banks during the day is 23,402 VND/USD and the floor rate 22,040 VND/USD.
The opening hour rates at commercial banks stayed rather stable compared to October 9.
Both Vietcombank and BIDV kept both rates unchanged from October 9, listing the buying rate at 23,315 VND/USD and the selling rate at 23,395 VND/USD.
Techcombank raised both rates by 5 VND, buying the green back at 23,295 VND/USD and selling at 23,395 VND/USD.
The reference exchange rate was on a rising trend since the beginning of this week before going down today.-VNA
