Hanoi (VNA) - The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate for the US dollar at 24,248 VND/USD on December 9, down 7 VND from that on December 6.
With the current trading band of +/- 5%, the ceiling rate applicable for commercial banks during the day is 25,460 VND/USD and the floor rate 23,036 VND/USD.
At major commercial banks, the opening hour rates saw decreases.
At 8:29 am, Vietcombank listed the buying rate at 25,157 VND/USD and the selling rate at 25,460 VND/USD, both down 7 VND from December 6.
BIDV posted the buying rate at 25,165 VND/USD and the selling rate at 25,460 VND/USD, both down 5 VND./.
