Hanoi (VNA) - The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate for the US dollar at 24,255 VND/USD on December 6, down 11 VND from the previous day.
With the current trading band of +/- 5%, the ceiling rate applicable for commercial banks during the day is 25,468 VND/USD and the floor rate 23,042 VND/USD.
At major commercial banks, the opening hour rates also saw sharp decreases.
At 8:27 am, Vietcombank listed the buying rate at 25,164 VND/USD and the selling rate at 25,467 VND/USD, both down 12 VND from December 5.
BIDV reduced the buying rate by 19 VND to 25,170 VND/USD and the selling rate by 12 VND to 25,467 VND/USD./.
