Reference exchange rate down at week’s beginning

The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate at 22,430 VND/USD on February 12, down 10 VND from the last day of the previous week (February 9).

Hanoi (VNA) – The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate at 22,430 VND/USD on February 12, down 10 VND from the last day of the previous week (February 9).

With the current trading band of  +/- 3 percent, the ceiling rate applied to commercial banks is 23,103 VND/USD and the floor rate 21,759 VND/USD.

The opening hour rates at major commercial banks saw slight fluctuations.

BIDV is listing the buying rate at 22,660 VND/USD and the selling rate 22,730 VND/USD, both up 10 VND from February 9.

The rates at Vietinbank were cut by 5 VND, being listed at 22,658 VND/USD (buying) and 22,728 VND/USD.

Meanwhile, Vietcombank kept both rates unchanged at 22,660 VND/USD (buying) and 22,730 VND/USD (selling).-VNA
