Reference exchange rate down on December 26

The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate for the US dollar at 24,310 VND/USD on December 26, down 10 VND from the previous day.

Hanoi (VNA) - The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate for the US dollar at 24,310 VND/USD on December 26, down 10 VND from the previous day.

With the current trading band of +/- 5%, the ceiling rate applicable for commercial banks during the day is 25,526 VND/USD and the floor rate 23,095 VND/USD.

At major commercial banks, the opening hour rates also saw decreases.

At 8:17am, Vietcombank listed the buying rate at 25,225 VND/USD and the selling rate at 25,525 VND/USD, both down 11 VND from December 25.

Similarly, BIDV cut its both rates by 11 VND, listing the buying rate at 25,230 VND/USD and the selling rate at 25,525 VND/USD./.
