Hanoi (VNA) - The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate for the US dollar at 24,168 VND/USD on October 9, unchanged from the previous day.
With the current trading band of +/- 5%, the ceiling rate applicable for commercial banks during the day is 25,376 VND/USD and the floor rate 22,960 VND/USD.
At major commercial banks, the opening hour rates decreased remarkably.
At 8:15am, Vietcombank listed the buying rate at 24,665 VND/USD and the selling rate at 25,025 VND/USD, both down 25 VND from October 8.
BIDV also cut both rates by 20 VND, posting the buying rate at 24,970 VND/USD and the selling rate at 25,030./.
