Hanoi (VNA) - The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate for the US dollar at 24,168 VND/USD on October 8, up 15 VND from the previous day.
With the current trading band of +/- 5%, the ceiling rate applicable for commercial banks during the day is 25,376 VND/USD and the floor rate 22,960 VND/USD.
At major commercial banks, the opening hour rates increased remarkably.
At 8:30am, both Vietcombank and BIDV listed the buying rate at 24,690 VND/USD and the selling rate at 25,050 VND/USD, both up 110 VND from October 7./.
