Reference exchange rate up 10 VND

– The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate at 23,138 VND/USD on January 7, up 10 VND from the previous day.

With the current trading band of +/-3 percent, the ceiling rate applicable to commercial banks during the day is 23,832 VND/USD and the floor rate 22,443 VND/USD.

The opening-hour rates at commercial banks dropped.

At 8:20 am, Vietcombank listed the buying rate at 22,590 VND/USD and the selling rate at 22,900 VND/USD, unchanged from January 6.

Meanwhile, BIDV cut 10 VND from both rates, listing the buying rate at 22,600 VND/USD and the selling rate at 22,880 VND/USD.

During the week from January 4-7, the daily reference exchange rate fluctuated variably, and ended the week up 4 VND from the rate on January 4, the first working day after the New Year holiday./.
