Reference exchange rate up at week’s beginning

The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate at 24,252 VND/USD on July 29, up 3 VND from the last working day of previous week (July 26).

Hanoi (VNA) - The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate at 24,252 VND/USD on July 29, up 3 VND from the last working day of the previous week (July 26).

With the current trading band of +/- 5%, the ceiling rate applicable for commercial banks during the day is 25,465 VND/USD and the floor rate 23,039 VND/USD.

The opening hour rates at commercial banks also increased slightly.

At 8:19am, Vietcombank listed the rate at 25,124 VND/USD (buying) and 25,464 VND/USD (selling), both up 3 VND, respectively, from July 26.

The rates listed at BIDV were 25,110 VND/USD (buying) and 25,460 VND/USD (selling), both up 14 VND from July 26./.
