Defence Ministry hands over 100 houses to disadvantaged families in Ben Tre

The houses were built for poor, near-poor, and policy beneficiary families in urgent need of housing in the districts of Mo Cay Bac and Giong Trom, Ben Tre province. The total construction cost was 6 billion VND (231,000 USD), approximately 60 million VND per house, funded by the defence ministry through Military Region 9 and the provincial Military Command.

Ben Tre plans to replace 1,031 dilapidated houses in first phase

Last year, the province successfully raised 100.5 billion VND to build 1,802 houses, including 250 for families of ex-revolutionaries and others for poor households. However, nearly 3,500 local households still grapple with housing difficulties, requiring an estimated 200 billion VND in additional support.
