Can Tho looks to broaden cooperation projects with Canada

During their meeting on October 27 on the sidelines of the 47th ASEAN Summit in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, the ministers highly valued the strong political and diplomatic ties between Vietnam and Canada, noting that bilateral trade has advanced in recent years but remains below the potential and strength of each side.

Vietnamese garment firms eye stronger foothold in Canada

A trade promotion delegation from the Vietnam Textile and Apparel Association (VITAS), comprising nine enterprises, is attending the fair with the goal of expanding market access and maximising free trade agreement benefits. While the US has traditionally been Vietnam’s leading market, accounting for over 40% of total exports, recent tariff barriers have prompted many Vietnamese firms to seek new destinations.

Vietnamese coffee promoted in Canadian market

Canada is a promising market for Vietnamese coffee, with exports skyrocketing 300% from 10 million USD to nearly 40 million USD since both countries joined the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP).
