Remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers buried at home

A memorial and reburial service for 106 volunteer soldiers, who fell down in Cambodia during wartime, took place at the martyrs’ cemetery in Tam Nong district, the Mekong Delta province of Dong Thap, on July 27.

Dong Thap (VNA) – A memorial and reburial service for106 volunteer soldiers, who fell down in Cambodia during wartime, took place atthe martyrs’ cemetery in Tam Nong district, the Mekong Delta province of DongThap, on July 27.

The remains were unearthed in the Cambodian provinces of PreyVeng and Pursat by the K91 search team under the Dong Thap military command.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’sCommittee Doan Tan Buu stressed the martyrs’ contributions to the nation’sindependence and peace will be always remembered.-VNA

Phu Tho: 200kg bomb safely relocated, detonated

According to a report by the Phu Tho Military Command, local residents spotted the bomb on August 31 in the Da River after the river water receded, exposing it beneath mud and soil on the riverbed. The bomb remained intact, including its fuse, and was located about 300m from a residential area.
