Hanoi (VNA) –
The Directorate of Vocational Education and Training (DVET) and the Human Resources Development Service of Korea (HRD) on November 6 signed a Memorandum of Understanding for establishing a qualification management and operation system, namely Q-Net, in Vietnam.

The Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs has issued a set of national occupational skill standards and established the skill certification system while fostering international cooperation to develop these systems. However, information technology has not been applied in the system, making it unable to meet increasing demand in the field.

The newly-signed MoU aimed to help Vietnam enhance the use of information technology and new advanced technologies in testing and certificating occupational skills of the domestic workforce, and further develop the national skill evaluation and certification system and vocational education in the country./.
