Quang Nam (VNA) – The Republic of Korea (RoK) and Vietnam’s central province of Quang Nam will intensify community and cultural activities, and share experience in preserving and promoting cultural values.
An agreement to this effect was signed in Quang Nam on December 15, on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Vietnam and the RoK (December 22) and ASEAN-RoK Cultural Exchange Year 2017.
An exhibition showcasing nearly 100 photos, paintings and documents on the RoK, tourist sites in Quang Nam and cooperation activities between Quang Nam and Korean localities is underway in the province.
Quang Nam is home to UNESCO-recognised My Son Sanctuary and Hoi An ancient town and beautiful landscapes, among other attractions.
The locality hopes to welcome more than 5 million visitors in 2017.
Quang Nam has set up partnerships with the Korea International Cooperation Agency and the International Lotus Village of the RoK.
It has also attracted more than 30 Korean projects, which have contributed to local socio-economic development.-VNA
