RoK rejects DPRK’s proposal for inter-Korean talks
The Republic of Korea (RoK) on Jan.
10 rejected the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK)’s proposal
for re-starting the inter-Korean talks, asking for the neighbour country’s
“seriousness on denuclearisation issue.”

The RoK’s Unification Ministry spokesperson Chun Hae-sung said the talks will be resumed if the DPRK show its sincerity.
The
RoK’s declaration was made in response to the DPRK’s call for the
resumption of unconditional inter-Korean talks in the next few weeks on
such issues as re-opening tours at Kumgang mountain, the operation of
Keasong industrial complex as well as exchanges between the two red
cross societies./.
