Deputy Defence Minister Lieut. Gen. Truong Quang Khanh received Chairmanof the Russia subcommittee of the Coordinating Committee for theVietnam-Russia Tropical Centre (CVRTC) Dmitry Sergeyevich in Hanoion Nov. 15.
At the reception, Khanh, who is alsoChairman of the Vietnam subcommittee of the CVRTC, affirmed that theVietnamese army and people have always attached importance to developingthe traditional friendship and cooperation with Russia .
Through the CVRTC, cooperation between the two sides in tropicaldurability, ecology and biomedicine has been implemented effectively,helping strengthen the friendship between the two countries’ armies andpeople, he said.
He expressed his belief that atthe 24 th session of the committee, Vietnamese and Russian scientistswill have a new vision and set higher targets for their scientificresearch cooperation.
Dmitry Sergeyevich said thevisit provided a good chance for the two sides to review cooperationresults over the past time and put forth orientations to boostcooperation between two CVRTC subcommittees in the years to come./.
