Russian upper house ratifies outer space cooperation deal with Vietnam

Russia’s Federation Council, or the upper house of the parliament, on July 9 approved the contents of a cooperation agreement between the country and Vietnam in exploring and using aerospace for peaceful purposes.

The document aims to create organisational and legalgrounds as well as change a number of issues relating to the protectionof intellectual property and information exchanges to boost bilateralcooperation in the field.

The shipment of cargo for outer space cooperation will be tax-free.

The same day, the council ratified a similar agreement with Nicaragua.-VNA
