On March 4, around 950 Russian citizens who are working for t heRussian-Vietnamese oil and gas joint venture Vietsovpetro and theirrelatives cast their votes in the southern coastal city of Vung Tau,according to Chairman of the Russian Presidential Election Committee insouthern Ba Ria-Vung Tau province Yury S. Sokolov.
The election committee had sent mobile polling boxes to offshore oilrigswhere Russians are working to enable them to cast their ballots.
Other polling stations were opened in Nha Trang City in Khanh Hoaprovince and Mui Ne in southern Binh Thuan province, which are touristdraws to many Russians.
Dzybkobo Galeeva, a tourist,said “This is the first time I have cast my presidential ballotoverseas. It is an unforgettable memory.”
Apart from thesedestinations, the Russian Embassy also organised polling stations inHCM City, central coastal city of Da Nang and Hanoi.-VNA
