Saigontourist welcomes 300 maritime visitors

The Saigon Travel Service Company (Saigontourist) welcomed 300 overseas tourists and crew sailing aboard the cruise liner Princess Daphne, which docked at Saigon port in Ho Chi Minh City on Jan. 15.

This is the first second time the Portuguese luxury cruise liner has visited Vietnam .

The visitors, mostly from Australia , will explore popular tourismdestinations in HCM City and the Mekong delta city of My Tho ,including Ben Thanh market and Cu Chi tunnel.

Princess Dahne is scheduled to leave Vietnam on Jan. 16 and come backthe country on Feb. 9 to make five-day a tour of Nha Trang, Ha Long andDa Nang .

In January, Saigontourist received2,200 arrivals traveling on the cruise liner Costa Classica for a tourof HCM City-Da Nang-Ha Long from Jan. 22-26./.

Vietnam to waive visas for citizens from 12 countries

The resolution clearly states that citizens of Germany, France, Italy, Spain, the UK, Russia, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Finland will be exempted from visas for a temporary stay period of 45 days from the date of entry, regardless of passport type and purpose of entry, on the basis of fully meeting the entry conditions as prescribed by Vietnam’s laws.
