As many as 62 teams throughout the country will compete at the second robot competition for primary school students – the 2014 Vietnam Robothon Contest scheduled for November 1 in Ho Chi Minh City.

Under the theme “Urban waste management”, contestants must complete five tasks using robots for transporting and processing waste.

The best three teams will represent the country at the International Robotics Competition that will take place in Malaysia at the end of next month.

The Robothon competition aims to create a playground for primary school students to apply information technology and scientific advances in the spirit of creativity and teamwork.

The competition is co-organized by HCM City Department of Education and Training, Vietnam Association for Information Processing, Quang Trung Software City, and DTTEduspec joint-venture.-VNA
