Seeing the oldest Buddhist sutra woodblocks in the world

The development of Buddhism over time has left many valuable heritages for Bo Da pagoda, of which the most special heritage is the Buddhist woodblocks, which are recognized as the oldest in the world.

Bo Da pagoda is keeping 1.953 Buddhist printing woodblocks in Nom and Sanskrit words, engraved upon request of Zen Masters Linji during the reign of King Le Canh Hung.

Situated in Viet Yen district, Bac Giang province, Bo Da pagoda is a special national monument, imprinted with cultural and Buddhist imprints from the Ly and Tran dynasties
