Friedrich Engels is a brilliant theorist, a resilient revolutionaryfighter and a great leader of the working class and worldwidecommunists, confirmed a Politburo member at a national scientificseminar in Hanoi on Nov. 27.
Truong Tan Sang, Politburo member ofthe Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee (CPVCC) and permanentmember of the CPVCC’s Secretariat said Engels is the closest friend and comrade of Karl Marx.
Engels and Marx foundedMarxism, scientific and revolutionary theory and the ideology of theworking class and the communists in the fight to abolish the capitalistregime and build socialism and communism, Sang said.
Engelsalso joined Marx in disseminating the revolutionary thought andbuilding revolutionary organisations for the working class, he said,adding that Engels became a leader of the working class strugglemovement in European countries in mid 19th century.
The Partyofficial pointed out that the 80-year revolutionary cause of Vietnam andits people, led by the CPV and President Ho Chi Minh, has overcomemany difficulties and challenges to gain great victories.
The CPV always affirms Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh Thought as the thought foundation and a guideline for action, he said.
Speechespresented at the seminar highlighted Engels’ thought and theoreticalcontributions to the world’s revolution aswell as focused on the values of Engels’ theories to Vietnam’srevolution and its current renovation process./.
