Hanoi (VNA) - Seven Vietnamese universitiesmeet international accreditation standards, according to the Quality ManagementDepartment of the Ministry of Education and Training.

The seven universities are the Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology(under the Vietnam National University-HCM City); the University of Da Nang (Universityof Science and Technology); the Hanoi University of Science and Technology; theHanoi University of Civil Engineering; the University of Science (VietnamNational University-Hanoi); the Ho Chi Minh City based-Ton Duc Thang Universityand the International University (Vietnam National University-HCM City).

Meanwhile, 181 universities and colleges nationwide have met domesticeducational quality standards.

Earlier, the Vietnam National University-Hanoi and the Vietnam NationalUniversity-HCM City were named among the top 1,000 universities worldwideon the QS World University Rankings 2022 while Ton Duc Thang University wasranked in the top 1001-1200 and Hanoi University of Science and Technology wasnamed in the 1201 group.

Four Vietnamese universities entered the Impact Rankings 2021 byTimes Higher Education (THE), including Vietnam National University-Hanoi,which is ranked at number 401-600, Ton Duc Thang University (401-600), HanoiUniversity of Science and Technology (601-800), and Phenikaa University(801-1,000)./.

19 localities eradicate substandard houses

Four more provinces have announced the completion of efforts to eliminate makeshift and dilapidated housing, bringing the total number of localities achieving this milestone to 19 out of 63 nationwide, according to the Ministry of Ethnic and Religious Affairs.

Vietnam accelerates repatriation of citizens detained in Myanmar

On April 8, 28, and May 14, three groups comprising a total of 471 citizens safely returned to Vietnam. This marked an important initial success, paving the way for additional repatriation efforts later this month, with the goal of bringing all remaining Vietnamese citizens stranded in Myawaddy, Myanmar, back home as soon as possible.
