Singapore’s Education Minister Heng Swee Keat will attend the 47th Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organisation (SEAMEO) Council Conference in Hanoi.
A press release issued on March 18 by Singapore’s Ministry of Education added that from March 19 - 21, Heng will meet with other regional education ministers to discuss strategic directions and general policies of the council.
According to the ministry, one of the highlights of this year’s SEAMEO conference is the launch of SEAMEO College, a programme to foster dialogue among top education leaders.
SEAMEO is a regional inter-governmental organisation formed to promote co-operation in education, science and culture in Southeast Asia.-VNA
