The Ministry of Transport said it plans to mobilise 960 trillion VND (4.5 billion USD) from various sources to invest in infrastructure in the 2014-20 period.
According to the Management Board of the Public Private Partnerships (PPP), the sum depends on three main sources, namely Official Development Assistance (ODA), State budget, and Government bonds.
Of the figure, 47 percent will come from ODA and State budget while the rest will be acquired from private investments.
Every year, the transport sector is allocated with around 20 trillion VND (940 million USD) from the State budget and Government bonds, which accounts for only half of the demand.-VNA
