HCM City (VNA) – An international symposium in Ho Chi Minh City on March 25 sought to build a contingent of high-quality cadres and public employees amid the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
The event was held by the HCM City Cadre Academy and Laos’s Vientiane school of politics and public administration.
Rector of the HCM City Cadre Academy Tran Hoang Ngan said reforming personnel affairs, including recruitment, training, use, rotation, and assessment is needed to build a contingent of cadres meeting requirements of new tasks amid globalisation, economic integration and Industry 4.0.
Cadres and public employees in the new context must continually make self-improvements, show dynamism and creativity while keeping political firmness and a righteous lifestyle, he noted.
Vienphonkeo Khunsi, Vice Rector of the Vientiane school of politics and public administration, said to successfully respond to impacts of Industry 4.0, personnel training must pay attention to improving cadres’ knowledge, creativity and revolutionary morality.
He added that building a contingent of high-quality cadres and public employees with political firmness and revolutionary morality also means building a force for realising the guidelines and socio-economic development plans of Laos and its Vientiane capital.
Meanwhile, Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics Le Van Ly said Industry 4.0 has indirectly created high-quality cadres and public employees who now must not only grasp the Marxism-Leninism, Ho Chi Minh’s ideology and the Party and State’s guidelines but also be creative so as to meet requirements of this industrial revolution.-VNA
