Last year, 125,000 tonnes of cargo passed through Tam Hiep port, which mainly serves Truong Hai-Chu Lai Auto Joint Stock Company.
Bui Minh Truc, Operation Assistant at Tam Hiep port, said the facility has created favourable conditions for enterprises and investors in Chu Lai, Vietnam’s first open economic zone.
The port opened in March 2012, reducing costs and handling time for companies.
The 4,460-tonne Truong Hai Star 2 transports automotive components for Chu Lai–Truong Hai Complex and will deliver 140 automobiles to regional markets. -VNA
