Tanzania attaches importance to friendship with Vietnam: President Suluhu Hassan

Newly-accredited Vietnamese Ambassador to Tanzania Vu Thanh Huyen on August 12 presented credentials to Tanzania’s President Suluhu Hassan, who affirmed that her country treasures the friendship with Vietnam and praised the strong cooperation between the two countries in political, economic, and trade fields.

Pretoria (VNA) – Newly-accredited Vietnamese Ambassador to Tanzania Vu Thanh Huyen on August 12 presented credentials to Tanzania’s President Suluhu Hassan, who affirmed that her country treasures the friendship with Vietnam and praised the strong cooperation between the two countries in political, economic, and trade fields.

The leader congratulated Ambassador Huyen on the appointment and extended her best wishes to Vietnamese Party General Secretary and President To Lam, as well as to the Government and people of Vietnam.

President Hassan asked the ambassador to convey her invitation for Party General Secretary and President To Lam to visit Tanzania soon to further strengthen the traditional bilateral friendship and cooperation , especially when the two countries will celebrate the 60th anniversary of their diplomatic ties next year.

She expressed her wish to visit Vietnam soon and said she admires the country’s achievements, highlighting Tanzania’s interest in learning from and collaborating with the Southeast Asian nation in key areas such as agriculture, green economy, tourism, information technology, and communications. She committed to working with the Tanzanian Government to create conditions for Ambassador Huyen to successfully fulfill her tasks.

For her part, Huyen pledged to do her utmost to expand and deepen the multifaceted cooperation between the two countries, as well as enhance the mutual understanding and traditional friendship between their people./.
